I'm a very strong believer that sexuality is ours to explore, so when I found out there was a show that combined erotica and art I was so there. I went with fellow bloggers Courtney & Sarah and made a day of it, even getting dressed up since it was also someone's 25th birthday. The fair was held at the Gladstone, an artful boutique hotel I actually have been wanting to stay in for years. While we didn't stay overnight we did spend a few hours talking with the artists and buying some beautiful items.

We had a fabulous day of pampering, just what us girls needed in the middle of winter. I personally haven't had my hair cut for a over a year, due to the fact I've been growing it out. Unlike other salons my stylest, Colter from The Manor actually only took off the amount I asked so I still have nice long silky hair! I freaking LOVE my new cut.

I really valued the friendly atmosphere at The Manor, loads of places in Toronto are disgustingly pretentious and look at you like you have five heads. Everyone was very accommodating, generous and FUN! We all had a blast sitting around chatting, sipping mimosas, nibbling on cupcakes, and talking shop since us girls are super interested in all things beauty. Sara and I decided to get cuts, though hers much more drastic than mine. Courtney got some pink tips added to her stunning blonde locks. Check out the photos snapped during the day:

Boy do I really love welovecolors.com. These fantastic red tights came just in time to rock out at The Kills concert I attended with the lovely Courtney from theglitterthread.blogspot.com. I was so excited that these fit my fat thighs with room to spare. Just like the majority of girls over the size of 24, I too have a serious problem finding a good pair of tights. They are either too saggy, don't fit the thighs or waist. These really fit me nicely and didn't sag anywhere, I was especially happy when I didn't have to fidget with them during the concert, I was seriously comfortable, which is pretty high on my outfit priority list.

My bf needed to buy a new computer so today we headed straight to Canada Computers, and while downtown we also grabbed bite to eat in Chinatown. It's currently my favorite weather: cold. So cold, in fact, I had to buy a hat since my face was going to freeze off. Of course I ended up purchasing a new spirit hoodie in chinatown for like $20 (real spirit hoods are $100+!)

These biker boots from Lane Bryant are holding up extremely nice this winter, pretty perfect traction and style. I kinda went a little "sophisticated goth" today sans animal hat with this peter-pan stripped collar sweater dress + cross ring + leather jacket. Kinda love it. I miss being a goth.

This dress from ASOS is pretty much a staple in my wardrobe. It's light, fun,easy and it looks good with minimal effort. I just threw on some leggings which are my new favorite from Torrid. They are basic black and my size ranges from a 3-5 which translates really to a 24-30 since the stretch is so generous. These vintage inspired sunglasses that I ADORE just came in the mail on Thursday so I've been dying to wear them out. It's always a good day when you look cute, receive packages in the mail, and eat a burrito. Have a good weekend dolls!

Outfit Post NYE 2012

So once a year I get super theme dressed up and take off to a fatty party in Boston for a huge NYE party. I've had some pretty lame new years eve nights in my life, you know, you're 16 watching a chick flick where the ball drops and everyone gets the perfect kiss? Yeah, never happens, stupid unrealistic expectations. So last year I decided I was changing this. My bf and friends decided we needed to switch it up so we booked a hotel room for the weekend at the hotel party. It was a fucking blast, best NYE of my life. We did it again this year, and it was even better. I don't drink that much usually BUUUUT I figure this is my one weekend a year to drink and go a little crazy. Now, to the outfit.

I had a bunch of outfits at the ready for this weekend and almost none of them went according to plan. That's okay though, I was pretty happy with my main outfit: I call it "Slutty Heiress/ Spoiled Kardashian" I had picked out this big ridiculous necklace at f21 a few weeks before and knew I had to incorporate something so over-the-top into my swag this year. On the way to the bash something just clicked in my brain that told me that I needed to stop at a Torrid. Well I walked in and right away saw the dress I had been drooling over for quite some time and even in my size; it was a sign. I purchased it immediately. I wish I had better pictures of my actual outfit but I was way to busy being drunk off long island ice tea and cake vodka. I hope everyone had as good a NYE as I did! <3

This year my family started a new tradition: Christmas buffet at the casino!
Now, I've never actually been to a casino, much less on Christmas so I had no idea what to wear. I kinda got gussied up since it's the holidays, with gold and sliver, red and green, sparkle shoes. I'm pretty in love with the color of this rich red Torrid dress ( with pockets!), it's just a perfect hue of dark and bright. The shoes were a gift and I'm probably going to be wearing them all season, they are SO comfy with their faux fur insoles. The casino was packed and I soon realized I was super overdressed, but I hardly cared since I felt and looked so fabulous!

Nostalgic, glamourous, 1940's David Lynch inspired Lizzy Grant AKA Lana Del Rey has pretty much captured my heart, eyes, and ears. Ever since I heard her live version of End Of The World I just can't get enough. This, of course was before her transformation into hollywood obsessed flower-crown wearing queen of my life. I also saw this beautiful floral photo set of her and her lovely lips before hearing any of her recorded songs.

What really got me to notice her style is the fact she's the first person to make bright flowers and gold getto jewelry look good. I've never really been into the whole floral thing but she really pulls it off and it makes me want to experiment. I actually found a floral headband at ASOS but I let it slide through my fingers and have never seen it again.

Lana really is quite a charmer. She can go from skater flower-child to ghetto princess to regal elegance queen in a heartbeat, all with a retrovintage feel. Always. Never fail. It's amazing.

Among her bright and fun dress I also admire her use and overuse of accessories. From her shoes to her oversized double rings and hoop earrings (which I think she will single handedly bring back) and all her lovely roses.

So, I'm a fat girl. And I've found some fat friendly items along the way that are kinda "Del Rey" inspired.

A HUGE thanks to Lane Bryant for organizing a Canadian Fashion Bloggers trip to Buffalo to shop at the Lanye Bryant located in the Walden Galleria. We spent a good 4+ hours just talking and shopping. The LB consultants were amazing, helpful and so, so sweet.

LB really had loads to pick from for the Holiday season, including this Sequin pencil skirt that would light up any New Years outfit.

And just LOOK at this Sequin party dress by DKNY, who wouldn't want to slip this on for a magical night? I literally just starred at this dress for a good 10 minutes.

This was one of my favourite purchases of the day, our fellow Canadian Karen picked up this red Tweed babydoll coat . She really looked adorably chic in it.

I also picked up an item I've been looking high and low for: Lace up combat boots . I couldn't believe LB had a pair of these, and that they actually fit. I think about 3 or 4 us us Canadian girls picked up this exact pair. We fell in love with Lane Bryants 40% off shoe selection for sure.

Anyways we had THE BEST time thank you again Lane Bryant, and my fellow fatshion bloggers!

Today I ventured off to the dentist for a root canal. I think I dressed up so I didn't feel so bad. In reality, it wasn't bad at all, not sure what all the horrible hype was about. ANYWAYS. To the outfit!

Look at those socks. I love them because they fit my huge ass calves. Another thing about the outfit I love; dem boots. FINALLY I have a pair of combat boots and to my surprise I found them at LANE BRYANT! Perfect rugged addition for just about any outfit, will do a complete review of these in another post because on the Lane Bryant site them seem to have a bad rep?

I'm also trying trying trying to incorporate more colors, as a child of goth, black is my go-to. I'm just loving jewel tones, especially for fall/winter. This blue is even better in person and really makes a statement and is easily dressed up or down, pretty versatile and fits like a glove. Definitely a fav.

So for the first time ever I decided to purchase an ASOS top. I've been skeptical about anything other than their dresses and stretchy skirts. To my surprise it was really stretchy and comfortable. Not too thick and perfect for fall. So I guess my £14 purchase paid off! Also if you are curious about any ASOS item there is a button to view the garment on a model walking down a runway. THIS IS HELPFUL, especially when you are trying to get an idea of the material.

I bought this traditional Alice costume last year around Christmas at Torrid.com, it was only $16! I've had this costume planned out in my mind for almost a year now, and I'm so happy with how it came out. I smeared blood all over and painted on the symbols. The socks are from ASOS, yes, they fit my huge legs!

No matter what time of the year it is I adore dressing up. This year I have a few costumes, the first one is a 60s/70s Playboy Bunny. This was inspired by the new show "The Playboy Club" which as of last week or so has been cancelled. It was amazing to see sexy gorgeous girls decked out in vintage corsets and bunny ears. I realized I had a pretty exact costume sitting in my closet! The bodysuit is from Lane Bryant circa around 5 years ago.

So over the weekend I took a trip to Buffalo for a little “back to school” shopping trip with my mom. She generously bought me this bra. I’ve been been very curios about this bra since I first saw it. I have huge back fat, and normal bras always dig in to me usually leaving red painful marks, so, I figured I try out this “long” bra, and hey, it’s pretty hot looking too.

So, first off I have to say, I have to use 2 bra extenders, which is fine, I always need them. Second, I’m at school right now and it’s coming on the 3rd hour of me being out and about in this thing. So far I have to say i’m slightly more impressed than I though I would be. If like me, you have one big roll as back fat you can basically just put the bra on and make sure the bottom of the bra sits right under the roll, it should stay pretty securely there, for now, mine has yet to ride up or “curl”. The only real issue so far is that my huge stomach is pushing the front “zipper” part up. It’s a pretty pointless accent to the bra, it’s non functional and kinda bunches up. All I did was flip it up towards me and kinda tucked it under. Anyways, 3 hours in and I’m pretty comfortable so for now I’d recommend this bra not only for style but functionality isn’t AS BAD as I thought it would be. Just thought I’d share since for around $60 a pop you guys might want some details.

UPDATE: I made it through the day, pretty much stayed the same. Love this bra!

First time experience from We Love Colors! I got two pairs this yellow and a scout green color. The green ones fit better than these yellow ones, I'm convinced they are made with different fabric. The yellow ones kinda "sag" at the ankles and don't stretch like they are supposed to, however the green ones are just about perfect.

So this is my very first pair of Jeggins! Torrid had them on sale for around $23. I am in LOVE with them, though I don't think these are really the typical popular type of jegging. These seem to have more structure than most, leaning more towards a real jean than a legging. It still has elastic band so they still pull up like leggings. No matter, great fit and very fashionable.

Using the same modified Torrid skirt from my last outfit I decided to finally try out my LACE leggings from Torrid. This is also the debut of my "over the knee" Torrid boots.

The boots have an elastic material right beside the zipper, it still took me FOREVER to get them on, i actually needed outside help. once they were on i wore them for a while inside now they are as comfy as can be and much easier to put on. while this is all good and well, i did stretch the suede material so much that i can see the white seams on the side..

I had some issues finding a high wasted a-line skirt so I decided to purchase a dress from Torrid and modify it. I cut off the grey tank top that was attached to this dress. I can now wear it with ANY shirt in my closet. For this hot summer day I decided to rummage through my closet and pair it with a striped tank from Giant Tiger. To keep with the nautical theme, I threw on an anchor necklace from f21. Leggings are nice and airy, from Addition Elle.
